our friends who are Omni Cancun Vacation Club Members. Our week long stay in Cancun
was quite pleasant and relaxing There was, however, one unexpected and disappointing

We purchased a voucher for a dinner cruise for five persons from a person who was at a
tour desk in a shopping center. And it appears that person took the money and ran.
When we arrived at the Captain Hook dinner cruise we found that our advance cash payment had
never made it to the ticket office and after an unpleasant conversation with the people in charge
we were unable to board the ship.
We eventually got the money back from the company responsible but this would not have
been possible without the assistance provided by your Member Services Manager Rafael
Herrera. He helped clarify the various options available to us to recuperate our money
and offered his personal assistance toward that end.
The manner in which Rafael handled the situation was very impressive. He was from the
beginning, quite articulate about what would be an acceptable solution in this matter.
He was also concerned with the general environment in which the fraud took place and q
uickly responded to our request to report the matter to the police and arranged an
appointment at the police station for us. It turned out we did not need to take this
step but it was a considerate gesture on his part.
It was refreshing to meet a person who is consciously inclined to do the right thing.
We were also assisted by Carlos and we thank him too.
It was our first time to Mexico and we were not sure what to expect. Now we are very happy
that we made the trip and the people at the Omni (everyone was friendly and helpful) are
certainly part of our precious, pleasant memories of Cancun.
